TONGUE TIED? AT A LOSS FOR WORDS?

HIRE AN EXPERT.

  • Translation is a vital part of a company’s overall communication. It has an impact on your brand and customer satisfaction. Poorly translated product presentations online don’t lead to new customers.
  • A well-written translation is so much more than just a conversion from one language to another. Localisation – adaptation to the target market – means focusing on the user environment and the target group. While at the same time ensuring that the localised text and the original still reflect each other.
  • Professionally written brochures, advertising, product presentations, user manuals and reports mean added value for your company.
  • With professional interpretation, everyone can speak the language they’re most comfortable with at conferences and meetings. This is equally important when talking to healthcare providers, testifying in court or talking with police or other authorities. Most people find it easiest and most natural to convey their thoughts in their own language.

Kielipalvelut Limarc Oy

Kielipalvelut Limarc Oy is a language company founded in 1998. Our great strengths are our many years of experience in the industry, an extensive network of partners and the whole Nordic region as our market. Our languages are Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, English and Finnish, and we offer a palette of services including translation, interpretation, linguistic consulting and text editing, as well as localisation and editing of machine translations. We also offer certified translations.

Our little organisation combines flexible service, high quality and cost efficiency. We also offer comprehensive service for our clients – let us take the reins!

One of our cornerstones is interpreting services for conferences and other business situations. We also provide community interpreting for the police, social services, healthcare providers and courts.

Limarc’s owner Marjatta Liljeström

I am an experienced interpreter and translator, specialising in the Nordic Region and languages.

Limarc was established in 1995 but kept on ice from 2004 until 2012 while I worked for the Nordic Council of Ministers in Copenhagen. From 1995 until 2002, I obtained valuable insight into the European Union as a freelance interpreter for various EU institutions. I learned all about Norway and the Norwegian language during my time in Oslo from 1978 until 1985.

My Nordic and European background mean that I have solid grasp of the Nordic languages, Nordic affairs and the EU.

The beautiful Norwegian landscape inspired one of my favourite leisure pursuits, cross-country skiing. My time in Denmark provided plenty of opportunities to indulge my great summer passion, golf.

I enjoy running my own business. The most rewarding aspect of it for me is finding just the right individual solution for a particular client. When the client is happy, I am happy.
